Committee Rules
As Committee Chair You’ll be Responsible for the Following:
- Assembling a team of 5 industry experts from various backgrounds with unique perspectives.
- Committee members serve for one year (2 conferences) and are then off duty for at least one year afterward.
- The next committee chair (your successor) will be chosen from your initial team.
- Each member should represent a unique organization and organization type (such as C3PAO, RPO, ATP, or APP).
- Your name, along with your committee members, will be recognized on the website and during the opening remarks at both the 2025 CEIC West and CEIC East conferences.
Key Responsibilities for the Committee Include:
- Setting dates and deadlines for speaker presentations.
- Managing speaker communication and/or conflicts, if necessary.
- Selecting speakers for sessions (preferably in pairs or panels).
- Providing input on agenda topics and or changes due to breaking news and/or submissions received from the call for speakers/call for agenda topics.
- Organizing prep calls for panel sessions to ensure smooth presentations.
CEIC West Target Dates:
- Finalize the Committee: By January 1, 2025.
- Launch the Call for Speakers and Agenda Topics: January 1 - January 31, 2025.
- Initial CEIC West (2.5 day) agenda will be set by Mark Berman, CEO of Forum Makers by January 15, 2025.
- Selection of speakers to be finalized and notifications sent by March 3, 2025.

Joy Beland serves as the Vice President of Cybersecurity Compliance for Summit 7, as well as Vice President and Board Member of MSPs for the Protection of Critical Infrastructure and Board Member for MSPCyberX. Her involvement in the CMMC community includes working with Provisional Instructors as a 1099 PI for Edwards Performance Solutions after having stood up their CMMC training program, as well as actively participating as a 1099 CCA Lead Assessor with multiple C3PAOs.

Amy Williams, PhD, CISSP, CMMC-PA, PI, is Vice President of CMMC for Coalfire Federal and Advisory Board Member for the CyberGuild. Prior to joining Coalfire Federal, she built and managed NIST 800-171, CMMC and CIS advisory practices for two former employers. Amy is recognized as an innovative leader of cybersecurity and IT teams.

Jacob Hill is an EVP of Cyber at a defense contractor and the founder of GRC Academy which offers CMMC training for defense contractors. He has 16+ years of experience, a master’s degree in cyber from WGU, and several certifications including CMMC Certified Professional, CISSP-ISSEP, and CySA+. He has also published CVEs, and his security research has been featured by Brian Krebs and Infosecurity Magazine.
Koren Wise

Koren is a Certified CMMC Lead Assessor and Instructor, as well as the CEO of Wise Technical Innovations, an Authorized Training Provider for the CCP and CCA program under the CAICO. Koren is a dedicated educator and expert in network and systems engineering, with a Master’s degree in education. She is passionate about empowering the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and aspiring assessors by sharing her deep knowledge and innovative solutions. Koren’s contributions include developing the MVP Enclave and the 800-171 Compliance Program, along with conducting Joint Surveillance Voluntary Assessments (JSVAs). Her work bridges technical expertise and educational leadership to support cybersecurity and compliance excellence across the ecosystem.
Stuart Itkin

Stuart Itkin brings unique perspective to CMMC and the challenges organizations face in satisfying government regulations. As Senior Vice President of NeoSystems, Itkin is focused on bringing managed IT and security services to address the cybersecurity and compliance needs of small and medium businesses. He formerly served as Vice President of CMMC and FedRAMP Assurance at Coalfire Federal and as Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Exostar. Stuart was a member of the CMMC Standards Working Group and currently serves as a Director of MSPs for the Protection of Critical Infrastructure and for the CMMC Industry Standards Council.
